A former agency owner and EY Entrepreneur of the Year, Ronak is known for blending hustle with heart.

David sat down with Ronak to talk about building through adversity, staying grounded in chaos, and simplifying decisions in a world full of noise.

David: Obvi is one of the most recognizable supplement brands out there. What sparked the idea?

Ronak:
I was tired of seeing supplements that felt cold, clinical, and hidden in cabinets. I believed they could be just as beautiful as skincare or coffee — something people actually want to leave on the counter. We wanted Obvi to feel fun, colorful, and approachable. Not intimidating. Not boring.

David: Was there ever a moment where everything felt like it was falling apart?

Ronak:
Definitely. In 2020, we lost our agency’s biggest client and could barely afford an Airbnb to regroup. It was blazing hot in LA. No AC. Just me and my co-founders sleeping on the floor in our boxers. That moment lit a fire. We said, “Never again.” And from that point on, we built differently.

David: When did you know Obvi was going to work?

Ronak:
An influencer posted about us — totally organic — and within the first hour, we had over $25,000 in sales. That was the signal. We knew it wasn’t just us who believed in the brand. That kind of instant traction showed us we had something real.

David: What would you tell your younger self?

Ronak:
Slow down and take more moments. Go to dinner with your parents. Be present with your wife while planning the wedding. Say yes to that extra trip. I’ve missed things chasing growth — and while I don’t regret the grind, I’ve learned to step away when it counts.

David: You’re a founder, husband, and father. How do you manage it all?

Ronak:
I don’t think it’s about balance. I think it’s about rhythm. One minute I’m with my son at a play zone, the next I’m on a late-night call, and then I’m heading to a poker game with friends. It’s not about having a perfect routine. It’s about showing up fully wherever you are.

David: How does Co36 fit into your lifestyle?

Ronak:
We make thousands of decisions a day. What to eat. What to say. What to wear. Co36 helps me eliminate one more thing off that list. I throw on a hoodie or tee, and I’m good. It’s structured, clean, and I know I look sharp without overthinking it.
