David: You’ve played on the biggest stages in the world. What kept you grounded through it all?
Nick:
Work ethic. I was never the most naturally gifted guy — but I showed up every single day ready to outwork everyone. Whether it was a Tuesday game in July or Game 6 of the World Series, I gave it everything. I still live by that same approach in business and in life.
David: You’ve mentioned before that you went through a tough chapter after retiring. What was that like?
Nick:
It was rough. You go from being “Nick Swisher the ballplayer” to just… Nick. That identity shift hits hard. I was lost for a while. But eventually, I realized that the same mindset that got me to the majors — discipline, consistency, showing up — was still with me. I just had to apply it in a new way.
David: What’s something people don’t realize about success?
Nick:
It’s not magic. It’s not one viral moment or a lucky break. It’s stacking small wins every single day. Whether you’re trying to make it in baseball, business, or just be a better parent — consistency beats talent when talent doesn’t show up.
David: Let’s talk about Co36. What made you reach out?
Nick:
I’m all about simplicity right now. I don’t want to spend 15 minutes trying to put an outfit together. Co36 just gets it. The black tee, the white tee — they fit right, feel amazing, and they go with everything. It’s the easiest decision I make in my day.
David: What’s your go-to piece?
Nick:
